Friendship 🎡

As this year’s Friendship Day has passed, I’d like to take a few minutes to share what friendship truly means to me.

Since childhood, I’ve been blessed to have wonderful people around me—friends who’ve shaped me in countless ways. Friendship plays a vital role in our growth. We learn from each other, we teach each other, and we guide one another. It’s always a journey of mutual direction and discovery.

Friendship isn’t something to be celebrated on just one day—it’s something to be cherished every single moment.

I was fortunate to have kind and genuine friends throughout my education. It all began in school, and some of those friendships lasted 10–12 years. A few of them still make the effort to stay in touch, even after all these years—and I truly appreciate that.

Then came the college years, where friendships often last 2–4 years. Yet some of those bonds have continued far beyond the classroom. I feel lucky that many of my friendships have endured beyond college hours, into life itself.

In today’s digital world, it’s harder than ever to find and nurture genuine friendships—especially with trust being such a fragile thread.

To the younger generation: seek friendships that last a lifetime. The kind that go beyond school hours, office hours, and even family hours. They’re worth it.

There’s a saying: “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

And I believe that kind of friendship is still possible—if we choose to nurture it.

So here’s to the timeless gift of friendship—may we cherish it not for a day, but for a lifetime.

Signing off,

Yours,
